Athletic Benefits: Wall walking is the overhead version of bear crawling. It is an excellent exercise for developing the shoulder stability and core strength necessary to press big weights overhead. It is a great relative strength and stability exercise as well.

Many strength athletes miss the boat by opting not to do any isolation work in their training. While I can appreciate their minimalist mindset, to be the strongest version of yourself you must make every single muscle in your body stronger – and sometimes that warrants isolation training.

Athletic Benefits: The kneeling jump is one of the best box jump variations an athlete can perform. It will train both starting strength and reactive ability. The athlete must be able to produce a large amount of force in order to get from a kneeling position to a standing position and then be able to react quickly to jump on the box. Athletic Benefits: The body saw is an excellent plank progression for athletes looking for an additional challenge. This move is more dynamic in nature and this move can be done with bent or straight arms. The straight arm version will also add in some shoulder stability benefit as well.
